PartSignal Look for a part

Part identification · paid per search

“Discontinued” rarely means the part is gone.

Describe the part or photograph it. PartSignal works out what it actually is, whether the same part is still made under another brand or number, and whether a working one is already documented and unused.

When to use it

One question: what is this part, and what else fits.

01

You need it, you are not holding it

You know roughly what you are after but the part is not in front of you. Type it: a name, a rating, a model number. No photo needed to start.

02

You have it, you cannot name it

A valve, a fan, a thermostat head, clearly part of the system, but nothing legible on it. Photograph it and the nameplate if there is one.

03

A wholesaler said discontinued

Most parts written off that way are still made, often under another brand or number. That is the case PartSignal was built around.

04

Before you buy the wrong one

One checked answer beats ordering three and hoping. If a working one is already documented in our inventory, you see it before you buy new.

How it works

Our own inventory first, then the catalogue, then the market.

  1. Step 1

    Describe or photograph

A sentence in your own words, or a photo of the part and its nameplate. Either is enough to start.

  2. Step 2

    Our inventory

We check what we hold ourselves. If a working one is already documented, you see it straight away.

  3. Step 3

    The catalogue

If not, the catalogue works out what it actually is, including the same part under another brand or number.

  4. Step 4

    A professional verifies

Every match is checked by someone with the trade behind them before you order anything.

  5. Step 5

    Not found is an answer

We can keep looking for twelve months and write to you when it turns up.

What helps

Whatever you have is enough to start.

None of this is required, and you do not need the right technical words. Each one just narrows it down faster.

  • A description in your own words, or a photo
  • A photo of the nameplate, if the part is in front of you
  • Model, article, RSK or VVS number, if any are legible
  • Rough measurements, or the rating you need
  • What the part has to do, and where it sits

Material Inventory · the supply side

Where the parts we find come from.

PartSignal is someone looking for a part. Material Inventory is the record of a part that still exists: photos, markings, condition, quantity and location, written down by a professional before the part is removed, written off or thrown away.

  • Record visible parts before renovation, removal or disposal
  • Photos, markings, condition, quantity and location kept together
  • A record can match a search. A professional verifies before any action
  • Paid professional access, from €49, priced by scope

Pricing

One fee per search. Shown before you pay.

€1

Per search

Describe or photograph the part. The catalogue works out what it is, and a professional verifies the match before you order. “Not found” is also an answer.

€10

Keep the search open for 12 months

A separate fee, only if we do not find the part straight away. We keep looking and write when it turns up.

Not a subscription: one payment for one search. VAT, taxes and invoicing are handled in the payment flow. Customers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Romania and Ukraine pay in their own currency; the amount is shown in the app before you pay.

What PartSignal does not promise

A candidate, not a guarantee.

PartSignal never confirms on its own that a part fits, is in stock, or is safe to install. Identification is at component level, not an official manufacturer endorsement, and a professional checks it before anything is ordered.

Got one you cannot find?

A sentence is enough to start. If it exists, we will tell you where. If it does not, we will tell you that too.
